Air Fryer Cornbread

Air Fryer Cornbread is quick, simple, and absolutely delightful! Sweet and fluffy, it makes a great snack or side dish for any meal. It’s no wonder cornbread is a classic!

EQUIPMENT

  • Air Fryer
  • Round Cake Pan

INGREDIENTS
  

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp if you prefer saltier cornbread
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup creamed corn
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
  • Add wet ingredients to the bowl and mix until just combined.
  • Spray a round 8-inch cake pan with cooking spray and pour in the batter. Use a spatula to even out the top, then cover with foil.
  • Place your pan into the air fryer at 360°F for 25- 30 minutes or until fully set. If an inserted toothpick comes out clean, the cornbread is done.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let it cool in the pan slightly before slicing.
  • Serve warm with butter, honey, or jam.

NOTES

  • As you mix, be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, so everything is incorporated.
  • I love using Baker’s Joy nonstick cooking spray for its easy release. 
  • Make this cornbread extra delicious and top it with jalapeno cheddar butter.
