This easy Air Fryer Whole Chicken will be a regular meal in your household! Perfecty seasoned, tender chicken with a delicious crispy skin is complete with carrots and red potatoes, a true one-dish wonder.

EQUIPMENT

  • Air Fryer

INGREDIENTS

  • 4.5 lb whole chicken
  • 2 tbsp oil, divided
  • 2 tsp pepper, divided
  • 2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 1 lb red potatoes

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Remove the whole chicken from its packaging, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry.
  • Place the chicken on a large plate or cutting board and cover it with 1 tablespoon of oil, pepper, and seasoning salt.
  • Place the seasoned chicken breast-side down in the center of the air fryer basket. Set aside.
  • Quarter the potatoes and add them to a large mixing bowl with the baby carrots and season them with the remaining olive oil, remaining pepper, and salt. Toss to coat.
  • Pour the potatoes and carrots into the basket, making sure not to leave any on top of the chicken.
  • Air fry at 400°F for 30 minutes, flip the chicken breast-side up and cook for 20-30 more minutes or until cooked. It should reach an internal temperature of 165°F in the thickest part of the chicken.

NOTES

  • Ensuring there aren’t any veggies on top of the chicken will leave you with delicious golden skin.
  • Use the leftovers in other delicious recipes!
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before cutting into it. This will keep it nice and juicy!
