Quick and easy, these Air Fryer Shrimp will impress everyone at the dinner table! Tender shrimp covered in a delicious blend of garlic, onion powder, and Cajun seasoning is cooked to perfection and served alongside cocktail sauce and decadent melted butter.

🛒 Air Fryer Shrimp Ingredients
- Shrimp
- Olive Oil
- Cajun Seasoning
- Minced Garlic
- Onion Powder
- Coarse Ground Pepper
- Lemon (optional)
- Melted Butter (optional)

How to Make Shrimp in the Air Fryer
- Rinse the shrimp and pat dry. Then, in a large bowl, add the shrimp, olive oil, cajun seasoning, garlic, onion powder, and pepper. Gently toss it all together.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil and place the seasoned shrimp into the basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 400°F for 4 minutes.
- Flip each shrimp over and cook for another 4 minutes.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the warm shrimp and serve with cocktail sauce or melted butter (optional).
Helpful Notes:
- The shrimp can touch in the air fryer basket as they will shrink but cook them in a single layer.
- Adding some lemon wedges to the air fryer for a few minutes will soften them and make them easier to squeeze.
- Shrimp cooks fast, so keep an eye on them and adjust your cooking time if necessary.
Storage and Reheating Instructions:

IN THE FRIDGE: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
IN THE FREEZER: Once fully cooled, place leftovers in a freezer-safe container or freezer bag for 3 to 6 months.
REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS: Reheat these shrimp in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in the air fryer at 370°F for 3-4 minutes.

It can be spicy if you’re more sensitive to heat. If you’re nervous about spice levels, start with 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and go from there.

You can easily swap out frozen shrimp for fresh. First, be sure the shrimp are fully thawed, de-shelled, and de-veined. Then, give them a good rinse under water before patting them dry.
