HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE CRESCENTS:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the 4 ounces of softened cream cheese, ½ teaspoon vanilla, 3 Tablespoons powdered sugar, and 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon zest using a hand mixer. When the mixture is smooth, set this aside. Â
- Open the can of crescent rolls and separate the 8 triangles along the seams. Place one triangle of dough on a flat surface, with the wide end closest to you.
- Spread 1 Tablespoon of the prepared cheesecake mixture onto the triangle, beginning at the wide end nearest you and going about â…” of the way to the tip of the triangle. Â
- Place about 10-12 blueberries (depending on the size of the blueberries) across the wide end of the triangle (nearest you), leaving about a half inch empty at the edge. Â
- Now roll the crescent up, wide end rolling toward the point. Press the tip of the triangle firmly into the crescent. Â
- Spray the air fryer basket with oil spray.
- Place the finished crescent directly into the air fryer (no parchment paper needed). Â
- Repeat this process with all of the crescent rolls. If you can’t fit them all in the air fryer without crowding, you could bake them in batches. Â
- Air Fry the rolls for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees. (If your air fryer cooks quickly you will want to check them at 6 minutes.) Â
OVEN INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place the finished crescents on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper about an inch apart.
- Repeat this process with all of the crescent rolls.
- Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees or until golden. If your oven cooks fast, make sure to check the rolls at 12 minutes.
HELPFUL NOTES:
- You can also replicate the same recipe with strawberries or cranberries to try and bring in some variation into the recipe.
- Remember that the cooking time for these Air Fryer blueberry cream cheese crescents will vary depending on the model of your device.
STORAGE AND REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Once these have cooled, you may place them in an airtight container and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days. Or they may be frozen for up to a year.
FAQS & SUBSTITUTIONS/VARIATIONS:
No. When I tested them on parchment paper, they not only took longer to bake, but the bottoms did not brown. They bake up much nicer if the air can circulate top, bottom, and all around.    Â
Yes, just allow them to thaw and dry them before putting them into the Air Fryer blueberry cream cheese crescents. I have not tested this without thawing the blueberries.
Yes, delicious! And you could even try them with other fruit, rather than blueberries if you like. They are also delicious filled with nutella! They’re very versatile. Â
