How to Make Ritz Bitz Churros in the Air Fryer

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together.
  2. Stir continuously and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat.
  3. Stir in cinnamon and vanilla.
  4. Immediately add a handful of Ritz Bits to the saucepan and cover them individually in the sugar coating. Pick them up with a fork, allowing the excess coating to drain off and place them in the air fryer basket. They shouldn’t be overlapping, but they can be touching slightly.
  5. Cook for 7 minutes at 350°F or until bubbly.
  6. While cooking, shake together the sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a gallon-size bag.
  7. Toss the candied Ritz Bits into the bag in batches and shake to coat.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Helpful Notes:

  • Pick your favorite dipping sauce, like chocolate or caramel, to make these extra decadent!
  • I recommend preparing all of your ingredients before beginning for seamless cooking.

Storage and Reheating Instructions:

I don’t think these Air Fryer Ritz Bits Churros will last long (they certainly don’t in my house!) but they can be saved for a future sweet treat. Store them in an airtight container on the counter and enjoy them for up to a week.

IN THE FRIDGE: No refrigeration is needed for these but if your home is warm, feel free to pop them into the fridge.

IN THE FREEZER: I don’t recommend freezing this recipe. They’re best to eat fresh.

REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS: There’s no need to reheat these delicious treats! Enjoy them warm out of the air fryer or at room temperature the next day.

FAQS

Can I use margarine instead of butter?

You can easily swap out butter for margarine, just follow the recipe as normal.

I can’t find peanut butter Ritz Bits. What can I use instead?

Other flavors of Ritz Bits will do just as well in this recipe. I especially love to use the S’mores Ritz Bits when in place of the peanut butter flavor.

My Air Fryer Ritz Bits Churros are a bit soggy. Am I doing something wrong?

This is an easy fix! If they aren’t crispy, try reducing the amount of sugary coating on them or cook for an extra minute or two. You can also try to leave a bit of room between them in the air fryer.
